Pursuit Community Gathering ~ Warrenton, VA

What is Pursuit Community? "Pursuit Community (formerly Pursuit 31) was founded by Karen Stott, and is based on Proverbs 31 in the Bible. We are a Christian community of creative entrepreneurs - more specifically photographers, bloggers / writers, shop owners, calligraphers, and graphic designers - dedicated to cultivating the art of community and building the Kingdom of God as He uses us in our families, neighborhoods, and the world."

I've been able to make it to a few Pursuit Gatherings, and it's been wonderful meeting and spending time with local Christian creatives who provide support, inspiration, and fellowship!

The May gathering for my local Pursuit group (Pursuit Community - Gainesville... hey hey!) was getting together at Shutter Bugs Photography's studio, enjoying some snacks and pizza, and taking some photos! We had a beautiful model in front of our cameras, and our hair and makeup designers got in on the fun too! Thank you, ladies, for your enthusiasm to play dress-up and let us capture your beauty!

Meet our model, Laura!

She is simply STUNNING.

Below is hair & makeup artist Kayla from Iva Bella Salon in Warrenton!

Nicole jumped in as well!

Ali and I also took a few headshots of each other. She is the leader of our Pursuit small group!

Here's one that Ali took of me... She makes me look good!

The ladies all together :) For the photo on the right I asked them to give us their best "model" pose/face
(as if they hadn't done so all evening already)... Kayla's face is my favorite!

Thanks again ladies! I had lots of fun with y'all!!

Did you see Chanté's senior session in Old Town Manassas? Lots of beauty there too! Congrats to her as she graduates!

Talk to y'all soon :)

Chanté Thorpe ~ High School Senior Photography 2015 ~ Old Town Manassas, VA

Hello everyone!!

Oh, the hustle and bustle of life. Things have been busy with counting down the weeks/days until the end of the school year (4 & 18), fundraising for Mission Year / getting more and more excited for Houston, picking up the photography season with sessions and weddings, etc... But aren't we all busy? There are ten seniors from the church youth group my husband runs who are graduating just next weekend. They are among thousands of students just here in Warrenton graduating. They'll all be experiencing a crazy, surreal time of transition between high school and what lies ahead for them. As we all journey through our own busyness, I encourage all of you to do something I don't do enough of myself: stop and smell the roses. Just pause your busy schedule, maybe even for just 10 minutes, silencing the area around you, maybe going outside. Enjoy springtime while it lasts; the heat of summer will be here before we know it (it's even peeked its head in a couple times already). I think a little break in the noise of life - a few moments of silence each day - can help us put perspective on everything going on. Let me know how that goes for you, and please remind me to take those little silence breaks, too. :)

One sweet girl about to go through a major life change is Chanté! Chanté will be graduating high school this year, and she is headed to Johnson & Wales University in the fall!! I think her friends and family will agree that she has a very bright future ahead of her. :)

We enjoyed a pretty evening in Old Town Manassas together. Enjoy this peek into Chanté's charming smile and style!

The photo below is one of my favorites from the whole session!

She's in!!

I love the roses... What a great prop idea!

Such pure, simple beauty.

The cap & gown make it all so much more real!

And a few with momma  :) :)
Pam used to work at my school, and it was so nice spending this time with her and Chanté!

Congratulations Chanté!! I had so much fun getting to know you and spending the evening together! :)

Please join me in wishing Chanté lots of congratulations on this big achievement. Give her some love for these photos too - She did an incredible job in front of my camera!

Also check out Nathan's senior photos and cap & gown photos if you missed them!

Talk to y'all soon, and be sure to email me at kellyhudginsphoto@gmail.com if I can serve you through photography anytime between now and July!

Love,

Kelly
