Airlie in the wintertime... Can I photograph here forever?! Okay, clearly not if I'm moving to Houston in September, but the venue itself and its wintry decorations were so classic and beautiful! (Side note, if you have no idea what I'm talking about with Houston, please read this big news post and my personal blog!) Another really nice part about Airlie is that it took me four minutes to drive from my driveway to the parking lot at Airlie... a much nicer commute than what I'm used to for weddings! :)
I got to know Tammy not too long before her wedding, and it was clear how giddy and excited she was about the big day approaching!! It was a joy to witness two more families joining together as one, and it was beautiful to see how happy everyone was to celebrate it. I feel like I repeat myself to a certain extent in each blog post, saying how joyful everyone was to celebrate, but it's true. It is so, so special to witness the love and joy in each wedding day I experience!
Special thanks to Sharmila, my second photographer for the day!
Enjoy this look into Tammy and Ray's wedding day. Read the captions to read more about how special it was, and leave the couple some love if you like their photos!
Tammy's elegant champagne lace gown
This detailed headpiece was one of my favorites to photograph this day!
The purple color scheme... <3
They tied it in so well throughout the day!
Her bouquet!! This is one of my favorite bouquet shots, below!
Meet the beaming bride, Tammy!
This is her daughter and bridesmaid Jalynn!
The groom Ray, with his father and son/groomsman Collin :)
Check out that chandelier... I've never seen anything quite like it!
So classic! Please take a moment to admire the natural light in the lower right photo.
I always love it when the bride sees herself all ready and in her dress for the first time.
On my wedding day I squealed and got really excited when I looked at myself in the mirror (haha),
so I make it a point to capture that special moment in my brides' day too.
Ceremony time!
Tammy's brother, his daughter the (adorable) flower girl, and Tammy's mom!
This dad loves his daughter.
Look out for the super sweet photos from their daddy-daughter dance later down the post.
The ceremony was in the Pavilion at Airlie... The strung ceiling lights absolutely make the room.
In addition to the unity candle, Tammy and Ray had their wedding rings sent around throughout their guests.
The guests had the opportunity to bless the couple with prayer and happy thoughts through them!
Airlie has so many cute little parts to explore and photograph!
My bride and groom are always the focal point, but it's fun playing around with the scenery. :)
As much as I love the teal butterfly garden, I think my favorite spot has to be the formal gardens!
The groom, being all gentlemanly :)
A girl's got to get a great photo with her best girl friend, too!
Gorgeous, Tammy!!
We were able to get the bride and groom with ALL the guests on the Airlie House back steps!
I actually can't get enough of this building - a photographer's dream!
Here's the front of Airlie House. Reception time in the Federal Room!
Above and below, a few of my all-time favorite first dance photos!
Below, a special feature of some littler guests :) So cute!
"Ray, savor this moment, because it's the last time you'll have the upper hand!"
(then much laughter ensues)
These daddy-daughter photos... mm.
I hope it's okay that my own photos move me, sometimes. Shouldn't they?
This candle was burning all throughout the reception in loving memory of those who have passed on.
The glass was beautifully engraved, and we know that they were present in a special way.
This is Tammy's "second family" below...
Pay close attention to the photo bombers in the bottom photos ;)
Tammy and her brother! Check out the elaborate decorations to go with those pretty faces!
Congratulations, Tammy and Ray!! I can't thank you enough for letting me join you and capture memories for you on your wedding day. <3
To see more photos at this gorgeous venue, including more adorable-ness in the formal gardens, go see the Krauss family session! Did you miss the last wedding I did before this one? Brittany and Patrick's purple Bull Run Golf Club wedding is right here!
Thank y'all so much for everything!
