This is the first in a series of three weddings from 2013 that I will be sharing with you over the next few weeks. I was blessed to second-shoot with Stephanie Messick Photography, who I learned a lot from in the process. Thank you for sharing your time, wisdom, and experiences with me, Steph!!
Mark & Natalie's wedding day was in April. Though I co-shot a wedding soon after in May (Mary & Peter's), this was my first experience photographing a wedding! Between finishing up student teaching and graduate school, graduating, finishing my own wedding plans, getting married in June, and having an otherwise busy summer, unfortunately I never ended up posting photos from this wedding - or even editing them all! This can be a blessing in disguise, though, as I now know a lot more about editing than I did in April of last year, and I'm loving using Lightroom!! While I was editing the photos, I was also reviewing some posing that Steph did... convenient since I'll be shooting a wedding this Saturday. :)
Though this wedding happened several months ago (can't believe it's been so long!), I hope you enjoy this view into the beautiful day! I think the natural light, love, and beauty really made it what it was.
Check out the detail of this dress!!
Natalie is so gorgeous!
Time to see the bride!
Exchanging letters <3 No peeking!
Ceremony time! We weren't allowed to shoot during the ceremony until the first kiss (church rules),
so... that explains why there are just a few :)
Guys with bouquets and girls acting like guys... haha!!
One of my favorite photos from the day, right here!!
Mark & Natalie surprised everyone with a choreographed first dance! It was so fun!
SMASH!!
Sparkler exit!
Thank you again to Stephanie Messick and Mark and Natalie for allowing me to be part of your special day!
I hope you enjoyed these photos & would love to hear your feedback. Another second-shot wedding will be up next Monday!
Love,
Kelly
