GLOW: A Sunday Park, Midlothian, VA Workshop Experience

Hi there! It was a quiet April but a busy May!

In the first weekend of May, I attended my first photography workshop, GLOW. This is something I had kept an eye out for for a while, but prices for workshops are often so high, and I just bought my new camera! I was really excited when I learned about the GLOW workshop, which was very affordable and had both classroom and shooting components.

We heard from four photographers: Tamara Henion, on motivation and being centered; Erin Schrad, on photo organization (so many photo files to organize!); Riette Kruger, on building relationships with clients; and Sarah Danburg, on lighting and shooting. They all inspired me and taught me something, and now I just need to find the time to implement things I learned! ;) Also, each one of them donated her time and efforts for the workshop. So thoughtful.

We headed over to Sunday Park in Midlothian, VA for the shooting aspect. Even though it was windy to begin, the evening was beautiful and the models were so stunning! Thank you all for being so willing to try anything – even when no one knew how to tie a headscarf J (more on that later!).

I hope you enjoy this view of the day!

I've included some candids from the evening, as well :)

Check out her EYES!

While the models were changing, we had a nice opportunity for some photographer head shots :)

Also... bugs.

Love Sarah's boots! Have boots will travel (and not be scared of snakes)!

So about the models' patience and willingness to try things...

No one knew how to tie a headscarf!

Surprise model...

Thanks for viewing, and please let me know what you think! There are more blog posts from my May shoots on the way, so be sure to "Like" Kelly Hudgins Photography to see sneak peeks and be the first ones to know when I post. :)

Love,

Kelly
