Hey everyone!!
Whew, we're in the home stretch!! Photography update: I photographed my last wedding of 2014 this past weekend, and it feels great! There's a possibility of one more session for the year, but other than that I'll be editing, sharing, and catching up on things! I'm looking forward to creating an "off-season" for myself January-February, a time of no sessions or weddings to continue building some foundational aspects of my business (anyone remember mention of that website I haven't been able to work on since August?) and catch up on some non-photography aspects of life, too. Don't worry - I plan to blog during that time as well ;) ...just in case you thought you'd miss me. Shorter update but probably a bigger life impact - my teacher update: three more days until two weeks off for winter break! Ah, yes... that will be GOOD.
Now... Let's meet the Jones family! Elizabeth and I work at the same school, where she's a reading specialist! We need her dearly, if you know what I mean. :) I also have the pleasure of seeing her second daughter Madeline (far right in the first photo) around the hallways since she's a student there! Abigail is in high school and Natalie in elementary school, and Elizabeth's beau Bob joined us for the session, too!
We had our session at the Historic Manassas Battlefield on Veteran's Day... Appropriate, right? There were a few other photographers milling about, but it was my first session there. I loved it! The lighting was incredible (you'll see what I mean!), and we had lots of fun being goofy and beautiful at the same time.
Enjoy the photos, and leave some love for the Jones if you like what you see!
Girls and their momma - Love these!
Also... We probably picked the warmest day in November for the session.
Tank tops? Short sleeves? It actually worked!
The goofy ones always end up being some of my favorites!
If any photogs are reading this - I got an 85mm lens recently. Holy moly, I'm in love.
Incredibly gorgeous girls.
This photo below is precious...
Apparently Abigail used to make the expression on the far right all the time when she was little!
Haha, this family is so fun!! I can't help but smile each time I see these!
And when you're walking, abruptly ask a 13-year-old to strike a pose, and this happens...
You know she's pretty awesome.
The very last photo of the evening... B-)
Thank you so much for a fun session, Jones family!! I loved every bit of it!
Want to see another fall family session? Take a peek at the Krauss family from their session at Airlie!
Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and be joyful this holiday season. Enjoy time with loved ones... whether you're looking at my photos or not. ;) We'll have a wedding on the blog next!!
Love always,
Kelly
